Sand Storm

sat nam ( True Identity)

When the desert winds are blowing, howling and whistling, it is very easy to sense the “natural mystic blowing in the air…”

From Yellow to green

Yesterday the winds were blowing the whole day.
Although I didn’t leave my “cave” at all,
The outside did enter,
when I suddenly felt that I’m breathing
sand.
The sky became yellow,
and the green palms where
swinging
in an ecstatic dance.

Ether in the Third Chakra

Today we are moving from Yellow to Green
In transition from Manipura to Anahata
From 3 to 4.
From FIRE to AIR
From the naval to the Heart.

Maybe it’s the colors of the Rastafari that attract me to Bob Marley’s song these days.
Or maybe it’s because these songs seem to reveal another layer of meaning at the times of the corona virus.
Is the virus a messenger of the spirit, blowing through the air ?
Listen carefully…

Natural Mystic

There's a natural mystic
Blowing through the air
If you listen carefully now you will hear
This could be the first trumpet
Might as well be the last
Many more will have to suffer
Many more will have to die
Don't ask me why
Things are not the way they used to be
I won't tell no lie
One and all got to face reality now

Though I try to find the answer
To all the questions they ask
Though I know it's impossible
To go living through the past
Don't tell no lie
There's a natural mystic
Blowing through the air
Can't keep them down
If you listen carefully now you will hear
Such a natural mystic
Blowing through the air

This could be the first trumpet
Might as well be the last
Many more will have to suffer
Many more will have to die
Don't ask me why
There's a natural mystic
Blowing through the air
I won't tell no lie
If you listen carefully now, you will hear
There's a natural mystic
Blowing through the air

AGNI- THE DIGESTIVE fIRE

“ROGA SARVEPI MANDEGNAU “

- Charaka (चरक)

” All disorders are caused by imbalance of agni.”

Charaka (3rd century BCE) was one of the principal contributors to Ayurveda, a system of medicine and lifestyle developed in Ancient India. He is known for authoring the medical treatise, the Charaka Samhita.

The term Charaka is a label said to apply to "wandering scholars" or "wandering physicians". According to Charaka's translations, health and disease are not predetermined and life may be prolonged by human effort and attention to lifestyle. As per Indian heritage and Ayurvedic system, prevention of all types of diseases have a more prominent place than treatment, including restructuring of lifestyle to align with the course of nature and six seasons, which will guarantee complete wellness. Charaka seems to have been an early proponent of "prevention is better than cure" doctrine.

The journey through the rainbow bridge takes us on an inner exploration, that might be influencing us on different levels.
Looking into the -Agni - the fire element, we are also referring to the digestive fire, and to it’s influence on our well being- physically, mentally, and spiritually.

In my experience, the encounter with the Ayurvedic teachings, in the form of a tiny booklet that I have found in a pharmacy, many years ago, was the beginning of a journey of healing and transformation, and the real undeniable experience of the connection between one’s diet to one’s state of being.
For me, this was the beginning of my healing from a very long depression.
Since then, I keep exploring my relationship with nutrition.
I always use it when I feel it’s time for a deep transformation.
Like with the fast that I do in these 40 days.

A balanced AGNI, will make us digest the intake in the best way: The AGNI will burn it until it gets to its finest, purest essence.

Lifestyle choices and habits that influence AGNI

- Diet - what do we eat / how much / when do we eat / how do we eat /
- Sleep - if it’s too little, the Agni will not be balanced
- Excessive Thinking - the fire is busy in digesting the thoughts and not the food. That’s when emotional eating comes into the picture.
- Adjusting our diet according to Seasonal changes / or not…
- Suppression of natural urges- will bring the AGNI to an unbalanced state.

RAMADAN

Ramadan  Arabic: رمضان‎, is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, observed by Muslims worldwide as a month of fasting (sawm), prayer, reflection and community. A commemoration of Muhammad's first revelation. The annual observance of Ramadan is regarded as one of the Five Pillars of Islam, and lasts twenty-nine to thirty days, from one sighting of the crescent moon to the next.

Tonight is the first night of Ramadan, when millions of muslims around the world are going to fast every day from before sunrise (Sahur) to sunset (Iftar) for 28-30 days.Fasting is a practice common in many traditions, and is used in different ways, with different intentions. It has many health benefits, as well as other:

The act of fasting is said to redirect the heart away from worldly activities, its purpose being to cleanse the soul by freeing it from harmful impurities. Muslims believe that Ramadan teaches them to practice self-discipline, self-control, sacrifice, and empathy for those who are less fortunate, thus encouraging actions of generosity and compulsory charity (zakat)

When you fast, each breath becomes food, each breath becomes a prayer, and remembrance of the ONE.
The one divine spirit, and the oneness of the tapestry of life.

PRACTICES TO HELP FASTING

The best way to shift into a mode in which you limit the intake of gross substances as food, is to become more aware of your breath, and allow it to feed you on all levels.
We know that breath is a teacher, and a reminder, it is also the nurturer of life, on the most essential level: Prana.

There is one meditation that Yogi Bhajan gave for maintaining the body without having to eat:

FROM: SURVIVAL KIT

NADI CLEANSING / NADI SHODHANA

The practice that I do these days is Nadi Cleansing, in which I feel how I am fed by light:
