40 days in the desert

Day 40

In a way it feels like I could start another 40 days journey right away.
But I really need to be back in the world.
My next 40 days journey, starting tomorrow, will be elsewhere,
it will not be by myself,
and not only in the desert,
still it will be another journey

Like everyday is…

The waning moon as seen this morning at sunrise

The waning moon as seen this morning at sunrise

A new day, a new journey

A new day, a new journey

Fire in the Aura

The presence of the elements in our electromagnetic field has a direct connection
to their level of vibration in the 7 chakras.
For me, fire in the Aura holds the traces of my fiery reactiveness.
Yes, it doesn’t flare up very easily, thanks to years of observation and inner work,
still I feel that it needs some more awareness, so that my auric field could be clearer and stronger.
It is a great teacher if one is willing to learn.

What does Fire in the Aura mean for you?

The Journey continues…

Although I went on this journey mainly for the sake of the journey,
surrendering to what came up and revealed itself,
not having a concrete goal in mind.
Still, this journey does bare fruits,
some are very clear and immediate ( like the retreat that will take place here in a few days)
and some will take longer to ripen.
My feeling is that the cycle that have started for me on these 40 days,
will probably unfold during the next 1.5- 2 years.

Stay connected

Thank you for being a part of this journey!
Although not everybody commented, I know you were there,
I could feel you.
Your presence meant a lot.
Thank you for reading these posts,
and for allowing my journey to echo in your journey.

I will use this mailing list ( of the 40 days in the desert)
only if there will be anything that is clearly directly related to this journey,
and of course: we will let you know the upcoming dates for the group 40 days journey as soon as possible.
It would be really wonderful if you could join!

This journey, like the journey of my life, our life, would have not been the same without poetry or without music.
Thank you for the music!
Here is a beautiful track, from a local band: Faran
I don’t know where they are all now,
but I know that this music has been inspired by this amazing peaceful desert: ARAVA

The Arabah (Arabic: وادي عربة‎, Wādī ʻAraba), or Arava / Aravah (Hebrew: הָעֲרָבָה, HaAravah, lit. "desolate and dry area"), as it is known by its respective Arabic and Hebrew names, is a geographic area south of the Dead Sea basin, which forms part of the border between Israel to the west and Jordan to the east.

The old meaning, which was in use up to the early 20th century, covered almost the entire length of what today is called the Jordan Rift Valley, running in a north–south orientation between the southern end of the Sea of Galilee and the northern tip of the Gulf of Aqaba at Aqaba/ Eilat. This included the Jordan River Valley between the Sea of Galilee and the Dead Sea, the Dead Sea itself, and what today is commonly called the Arava Valley. The contemporary use of the term is restricted to this southern section alone.

Deep Gratitude

Thank you so much Sefi Kiryati from Moa- desert oasis,
and Zafrir & Tal Ortas from Lev Hamidbar - Desert heart.
The amazing venues you have created, with so much love and so much respect for nature,
and your wonderful generosity, have been a true home for me on these 40 days,
and I’m sure will continue to be, in different ways.

Sending Love,
Simrit- Sarit Maor
