The vision of this 40 DAYS IN THE DESERT project, that was originally planned for April-May 2020,  was to gather an international group of devoted practitioners from varied backgrounds, to dive deep into the spiritual journey, and to meet each other on levels that are usually unattainable in the pace of the modern times, and in the situation of the middle-east.

This was planned as an exploration of 40 days passage of transformation as journeyed by the prophets & saints of Judaism, Christianity & Islam, combining the knowledge of the contemplative traditions of yoga and meditation from India and Tibet, in the deserts of the Middle East.  The wish was to create a new context for these ancient stories.
We were planned to move between four deserts in Israel, Egypt and Jordan.

Then Covid-19 happened, the group couldn’t meet, the borders were closed, and I traveled to the Arava desert by myself.

It became my own passage of transformation, in a way preparing me to the changes in the world and in the kundalini yoga community.

As I’ve been asked to share my journey, it became a daily blog that allowed those who wished to join me from afar to go through their own 40 days passage.

It isn’t yet clear when and how this journey will happen again. But the vision is still alive.
