From Orange to Yellow
sat nam
As you know, this journey was supposed to be a group journey, in four parts, at four deserts. The circumstances changed, and the form is different.
I allow it to unfold.
It feels like the first part - Locate yourself - is over.
I’m ready for the next phase.
After 11 days of a water fast, in the desert oasis,
where I’ve spent most of the time in my room- especially on the first days when exploring the first chakra.
Then I started going a bit further, and started swimming in the lake every day - when exploring the water and second chakra.
The transition to the next stage of the journey has started today,
as I’v started exploring the vast desert around.
With two wonderful companions:
Sefi Kiryati - Architect, Pilot, Visionary, Entrepreneur, Founder of Moa- Oasis
Limor Shemesh - who just finished her M.A in Neuroscience, researching the effects of meditation of memory
WALKING; A MYSTIC RITUAL
This was the name of the second part of the original planned journey. It was planned to be in Sinai- Egypt.
Seems like it will still be that.
I will be walking by myself, at the Arava desert.
Again, not knowing how this will unfold; not sure for how many days, etc.
I’m getting ready for the adventure.
The water fast has been a great preparation.
In the next part, I will change the fast into what I have learned that the Sufis in Turkey do on their Halvet -
40 days retreat;
I will feed on (a specific number of ) dates and olives.
It feels like energetically I have been preparing to be fed in this way, as palms and olives are the trees that grow at the orchard of the oasis, close to the room where I’ve been.
Well… I know it’s a bit predictable, but this is what I’ve been humming today while walking and imagining the journey ahead:
A horse with no name
“On the first part of the journey, I was looking at all the life
There were plants and birds and rocks and things
There was sand and hills and rings
The first thing I met was a fly with a buzz
And the sky with no clouds
The heat was hot and the ground was dry,
But the air was full of soundsI've been through the desert on a horse with no name
It felt good to be out of the rain
In the desert you can't remember your name
'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain
La la, la, la, la la la, la la la, la, la
La la, la, la, la la la, la la la, la, laAfter two days in the desert sun, my skin began to turn red
After three days in the desert fun, I was looking at a river bed
And the story it told of a river that flowed
Made me sad to think it was deadYou see I've been through the desert on a horse with no name
It felt good to be out of the rain
In the desert you can't remember your name
'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain
La la, la, la, la la la, la la la, la, la
La la, la, la, la la la, la la la, la, laAfter nine days, I let the horse run free 'cause the desert had turned to sea
There were plants and birds and rocks and things
There was sand and hills and rings
The ocean is a desert with its life underground
And a perfect disguise above
Under the cities lies a heart made of ground
But the humans will give no loveYou see I've been through the desert on a horse with no name
It felt good to be out of the rain
In the desert you can't remember your name
'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain

From Water to Fire
“After three days in the desert fun, I was looking at a river bed
And the story it told of a river that flowed
Made me sad to think it was dead…”
I’ll be walking in a desert that has been an ocean, millions of years ago.
Even today we have found many fossils from that ocean.
And if you look very carefully, you can see that the shape of the earth here, with it’s special hills,
looks like an ocean bed.
When meditating here one feels like sitting at the bottom of an ancient ocean…
How do you transition form Water to Fire?
