Day 39 of the journey
Water Element in the Aura.

I waited until sunset to leave the mud dome
as it was a very hot day.
Sunset was very beautiful and strange
with an apocalyptic feel, as I was driving
between empty greenhouses, at the edge of a desert village,
looking for the water reservoir that I knew should be somewhere
nearby.

Eventually I did get there.
It was almost dark,
still, I could see the beauty,
and I could not believe that this incredible place
was so close.

This whole journey was a journey of Self- Initiation into the next phase of my life.
I knew that I wanted to end the journey in water,
for a ritual of baptism, not as in any specific religion,
but as my own ceremony of gratitude and dedication.
The original plan was to bath in the Jordan river,
at the place where traditionally it is said that Jesus was baptised by John,
after which he went into the desert for 40 days.
But that location is closed these days, so I had to find another place.
And there it was, an amazing reservoir of rain water in the desert.
The warm wind and the cold water, the mystical dusk light, and the sound of the wind
was the perfect set up for an event that was almost a non-event,
it was just simple, pure, bliss…
